Sudoku August Puzzle 

with a

"Mystery Word"

The object of the puzzle is to get     the digits 1 to 9 in every 3X3 box.

 Get the digits 1 to 9 in each row.

Get the digits 1 to 9 in each column.

You need Java enabled to view the crossword applet.

If you do not have Java installed you can obtain it from java.com. If do have Java you may need to check your security settings to make sure that applets are enabled, especially if you are viewing the puzzle from your hard disk. In Windows XP you may be able to enable the applet by clicking on the yellow bar at the top of the window and selecting "Allow blocked content".

 

 

The coloured squares relate to letters of the alphabet.

1 = A            2 = B          3 = C

4 = D            5 = E          6 = F

7 = G             8 = H         9 = I

Extra letters are given in the :-

          "Extra Letter Box"

The puzzle will not accept inputs that are obviously incorrect. It will accept inputs that "may be correct".You can delete a number by highlighting it and then using DELETE on your keyboard.

    The "Congratulations Box" can be removed by clicking on it twice.          To restart the puzzle click on the REFRESH 

 

The 6 coloured squares (plus N ) will give you the anagram of a "Mystery Word" which in this case is not an animal

Tip:- (If one of the coloured squares is 1  then the "Mystery Word" will contain a letter A)
